API White Spot Cure Treatment 118ml

API White Spot Cure is a freshwater fish medication for the treatment of white spot disease.

It works by producing a secondary barrier against secondary infection, restoring the slime coating which has been attacked by the white spot parasite.

White spot disease is also known as Ich, a parasitic infection that can spread alarmingly quickly. If you spot the symptoms, act fast to hopefully stop it in its tracks.

Symptoms:

- Disorientated swimming.
- Gills folded against the body - breathing can be affected and can be fatal.
- The fish may scratch against stones and other objects as the parasite attacks.
- White spots (size of a pinhead).

Dosage:

- 5ml per 20 Litre of Aquarium water.

Instructions:

Remove activated filter carbon from filter and continue aeration. Add 5ml per 20 litres of aquarium water. Repeat dose after 48 hours. Wait another 48 hours, then change 25% of the aquarium water and add fresh activated carbon. Treatment may be hastened by raising the temperature to 27° C. CAUTION: Some scaleless fish are sensitive to this fish remedy; therefore, treat at ½ the normal dose. Some saltwater invertebrates, such as corals, may be sensitive to this product, so it is not safe for reef  or marine aquariums.
