Customer Sales & Stock Input - Permanent - Part-Time:
We are looking for someone to work on our sales counter in the shop, ideally 2 full days per week.
Currently, this is likely to be on Tuesday’s and Wednesday each week.
The hours of work are 9.30 - 18:00.
The job title is Customer sales and Stock input.
This role is located at our main customer store in Manchester, M32 9TR.
SKILLS REQUIRED TO CARRY OUT THE ROLE:
The person we are looking for will be our main point of interaction with our shop retail customers and the person whom potential and current customers will speak with on the phone.
You will be responsible for scanning incoming stock on our system and then placing this on the display shelves and dealing face to face with customer sales, enquiries and other daily routines of retail sales.
The successful candidate will have to evidence very high levels of polite customer service, be able to communicate clearly and record accurately telephone messages and enquiries that need following up.
The shop can be very busy at times, so the ability to work under pressure and prioritise urgent matters first is essential.
We work in an environment that requires good team working, and you will be called upon to assist colleagues in their role during busy times, as you will also be supported likewise, so an ability to work well in a small busy team will be a necessary attribute of the successful candidate.
A background knowledge of fish keeping or reptile keeping is desirable, but not essential.
Full training will be given, you will benefit from a mentor being on the premises at all times you are at work during your probationary period of 3 months.
We are not asking the candidate for any specific experience, but ability to prove the above skills requirement at interview and during the probationary period are essential.
SALARY AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Your starting wage will be the UK age appropriate minimum wage, paid at the end of each month into your bank account, and standard UK Gov holiday allowance.
This role will not normally involve working UK Bank Holidays.
