Services and Conditions of Use:
  • All items shown are inclusive of VAT.
  • All sizes indicated in centimetres and inches are approximate.
  • All weights are approximate.
  • Colours shown may not be accurate matches.


All items carry the manufacturers guarantee except light / heat / UV bulbs. We offer no wear and tear or usage guarantee on these types of light bulbs. Bulbs are covered though for damage in transit, but we must be notified within 24 hours of the parcel being delivered - After this time, no replacement will be sent or refund given.


We reserve the right to cancel and order at any time for any reason which may negatively impact our business.


If we send an item out and it cannot be delivered and is returned by the post office or carrier, and this is not the fault of the post office, carrier or ourselves, we will not send the item again until the postage cost is paid for the second delivery.

Also, if the item cannot be delivered and the fault is not of the post office, carrier or ourselves and a refund is requested, we will refund the price of the item but will charge for the outward postage cost in full and any cost incurred in returning the item to ourselves in full (the term "in full" is calculated as being the full carriage cost charged to ourselves by the carrier company). If these goods are still required, we will not despatch them until the full carriage costs have been paid from the original failed delivery.

We do not:

We do not refund delivery charges for items which have been delivered using our own van transport - Glass Tanks, Glass Vivariums, Wooden Cabinets, Wooden Vivariums, Wooden Hoods.

We will not accept returns for certain items if they have been opened / built as they can not be re-sold as new (cabinets, vivariums, affinity ponds, filters, dosers, aquariums which have been setup, filters which have had water through them or parts opened). If any part of the kit delivered with these products is faulty (such as a power pack, bulb or panel), it will be tested (if electronic) and replaced for you under warranty, but the entire product will not be accepted back as a return for either an exchange of refund. Any of these items fall outside if your standard return rights as they can't be re-sold as new once opened.

Sales Offers, Discounts, Promotions, Price Match & Deposits:

Special offers are only applicable at the time of purchase. Special offers where they are offered to beat a competitors price is only applicable on a like for like basis including delivery charges.

Price Match Button is displayed on the page of all our products. Price match requires you to complete a small form where you are asked for your name, email address, link to the competitors web site, their price and also what price you would like to pay for the item. In most cases we either price match or offer you a lower price that that of our competitor. The item has to be "like for like". In some cases we may not be able to match the price due to circumstances outside of our control - damaged goods, fire sale, clearance sale, end of line sale, wrong price displayed, business has closed down etc - if this occurs we will offer you a discounted price as near to the competitors as possible. In very rare cases where the price is extremely low and obviously wrong we may reject your request.

Free voucher offers (given when purchasing certain aquariums) can be used either in our shop or bought on-line via our web site. If the voucher is used on-line it does not include free delivery. Delivery will be charged at cost and will be included in the price of the voucher. Other promotions can not be taken with this promotion. 

Flash Sale / Black Friday / January Sale / Summer Sale and other timed promotional sales can not be used with Finance Option on our web site or in-store, also these promotions can not be used with items that are already discounted.

Deposits can be made against any of our goods which we then hold until your final payment. Deposits on live stock must be paid and collected within 7 days. Deposits are NOT refundable, but can be exchanged for a credit voucher subject to the original goods being stock items and not special order items.  

Additional Terms & Conditions for Red Sea E-Series & Reefer Aquariums:

Red Sea Aquatics UK Ltd do not hold stocks of E-Series & Reefer Aquariums in the UK, neither do any of their dealerships. Most Red Sea Aquariums & Reefer Aquariums are delivered from their warehouse to you directly.
The delivery will be made using a HGV pallet lorry. The HGV driver will only deliver the pallet to the entrance of the address (driveway, parking area etc), the driver will not take the item into the residence or building. Access to your location must be provided for a heavy goods vehicle. Poor access may result in the driver not being able to deliver the pallet which will result in additional charges. 

Frozen Foods:

Some items will be sent out frozen. These include Gamma fish foods, Snake foods and Natural Instinct Dog & Cat foods.

Frozen foods are packed in insulated boxes. Upon receiving the frozen items they should be placed into a freezer as soon as possible. 

Orders which include frozen foods must have a minimum spend of £10.01p. Your order will then be sent using next day delivery.

Ordering frozen foods on-line is at  your own risk.

If the food arrives defrosted this is  not in our control and we are not responsible for frozen goods arriving defrosted, this is a risk that you take. The frozen foods would have been sent out packed in insulated boxes on a 24 hours delivery service. We have no control over late delivery, hot weather or whether you are not in to receive the goods.

We do NOT refund frozen foods which have defrosted in transit.  This is the risk you take when ordering frozen goods on-line.


Special Offers:

Special offers are only applicable at the time of purchase. Special offers where they are offered to beat a competitors price is only applicable on a like for like basis including delivery charges.  We reserve the right to not accept an order where the discount is prohibitive to the well-being of our business.

Flash Sale / Black Friday / January Sale and other timed promotional sales can not be used with Finance purchases on our web site.

Product Description, Price and Images:

Urmston Aquatics attempt to be as accurate as possible with our descriptions, prices and images shown on our website. If a product offered by ourselves is not as described please inform us, and we will change the description or remove the goods from sale. Where an item is priced wrongly through obvious error we reserve the right to not supply the item. 

All Cabinets come flat packed unless specified in the product description.
