The Leopard Gecko (Eublepharis Macularius) originates from Pakistan, India and other countries in southern Asia. A Leopard Gecko will reach an adult length of 8" to 10", and will live for over 12 years. They are easy to tame and keep, and are quite intelligent.
Leopard Gecko's are generally nocturnal, and the vivarium should be equipped so that it contains little or no bright light. Use red or blue bulbs to heat and light the vivarium. The Leopard Gecko differs from other Gecko's in that it has eye lids and that they lack the adhesive pads on their toes that other Gecko's use to climb walls.
