Fluval U3 Internal Aquarium Filter (90 to 150L)
Offering outstanding 3-stage filtration, increased water movement and vital aeration, Fluval U-Series internal filters are the perfect solution where external filtration is not possible.
The U series internal filter range are an efficient reliable filter designed as the primary filter for smaller aquariums or a supplementary for larger aquariums.
The Fluval U3 can be situated either vertically or horizontally which means this is perfect for both deep and shallow water aquariums such as turtle tanks.
The Fluval U2, U3 and U4 all have an efficient 3 stage filtration to ensure the very best of water qualities, these stages are Mechanical, Chemical and Biological. The handle tilt and flip top ensure changing the media as quick and easy as possible.
Stage 1 consists of a Foam pad which is designed to remove large particles from the water all part of the mechanical filtration. These foam pads should be replaced every 6 months.
Stage 2 consists of poly carbon cartridges double-sided for 2 jobs, the poly side removes fine particles to finely polish the water whilst the carbon side removes dissolved impurities and tannins resulting in crystal clear water. These should be replaced every month.
Stage 3 consist of the bio max ceramic media designed for colonising filter bacteria all part of the biological filtration. These should be changed in rotation to the foam media every 6 months.
In addition, the above the Fluval Clean and Clear media is designed to remove phosphate and nitrates to reduce and algae growth. Furthermore, the Clean and Clear extends the time between water changes and aids in keeping the aquarium water crystal clear and improving the water quality.
The Fluval U2, U3 and U4 Internal filter have an adjustable flow to ensure the filter meets the needs for different aquarium environments, this consists of 3 flow settings. Top output for increased circulation and oxygenation, spray bar for a gentle flow designed for planted aquariums and the bottom output designed for deep water circulation.
