Blue Life Red Cyano Rx will quickly and effectively treat Cyano Algae without harming any of its inhabitants including beneficial bacteria when used as directed.
Red Cyano Rx will quickly and effectively treat disease causing Cyano bacteria from live rock, live coral and live sand in your saltwater aquarium without harming any of its inhabitants including beneficial bacteria when used as directed. Unlike other products, Red Cyano Rx will not discolour your aquariums water, is reef safe, quick and effective - Will not discolour water.
May not be safe with sponge corals. Veterinarian Approved.
How to use product:
For best results, siphon out as much Cyano Bacteria as possible from your aquarium. Remove a cup of water from your aquarium. Mix 1 level scoop of Red Cyano Rx in the cup for every 10 gallons (37.9 litres) of water in your aquarium. Dissolve thoroughly and pour solution into the aquarium.
After 24 hours of completing treatment perform a 25% water change, and you may now turn back ON Protein skimmer, resume use of carbon and ozone, although you may notice extra foam being produced by your Skimmer. If Cyano Bacteria is still viable, 48 hours after treatment, perform a 25% water change and repeat dosage.
Important to note when using this product: It is recommended that the pH in your aquarium be greater than 8.0, before you begin to add Red Cyano Rx. This product may reduce the Ph and can affect the Alkalinity in your aquarium, so it is recommended that you use a buffering agent and monitor your Ph and Alkalinity when dosing Red Cyano Rx. The best time to start treatment with Red Cyano Rx is in the morning, when lighting first comes on. During the day time Ph trends upward and at night tends to fall. Algae growth in your aquarium will cause your Ph to decrease, and using Red Cyano Rx, while having an overall beneficial effect, warrants caution and monitoring of Ph and Alkalinity. It is very important to perform a 25% water change, following each course of treatment. You will need to discontinue the use of carbon, protein skimming, and ozone during the treatment period. Do not dose in the evenings when lighting is turned off.
